Stephanie Loewen

I am Stephanie Loewen, daughter of Arvid and Ruth. I am currently in my first year of University at CMU after being away at Bible School last year. I am the driver of the follow vehicle for the first leg from Vancouver to Winnipeg.

For me to have my dad involved in a sport to such an extreme is really exciting. I have been able to be part of various rides and races as support crew and until you see it first hand you have no idea what it means to be on a bike for many, many hours a day. His dedication and determination in training is incredible and his perseverance to give then one thinks there is nothing left to give continually amazes me and is an example for everyday life.

The fact that this ride is unique, by not just being a normal bike race but benefiting orphaned children in Africa that are in less than ideal circumstances is so exciting. God is at the centre of my dad’s life, and the centre of this ride. Therefore, I know it will be successful in a way God sees fit, and I am excited to see the ways God will work and bring His hope to many needy children.
