What's MCF?

Mully Children's Family is a dynamic orphange seeking to save street children from the slums of Africa.

It is run by Charles Mulli who knows the name of each his more than 700 rescued children. Charles and his biological family and team of helpers go into the slums to rescue orphaned children who are victims of HIV/AIDS, forced labour, severe poverty, drugs and prostitution. Charles gives them a new home and a new hope. He loves them because he understands them.

At the age of six Charles was abandoned by his abusive parents to survive in the streets. There he was forced to beg for food and scrape out a meagre existence. At the age of sixteen Charles ventured to Nairobi with a newfound faith and a desire to see change in his life. He subsequently found work and through a unique turn of events started his own petroleum distribution business and became extremely wealthy.

Yet the burden of street children was always on his heart. One day, he left his office and felt convicted to give up all the money he had amassed to help the street children. Charles and his wife, together with their 8 biological children, gave up all they had to rescue those who had nothing.

Charles' life is one of servanthood and miracles. With his business mind he created three orphanages where children go to the schools he founded. Some of the operating costs at MCF are offset by proceeds received from their farms. But the need for funding of food, clothing, school supplies, operating costs, capital costs and medical supplies are signifcant.

MCF is recognized by CIDA and World Vision as a viable and productive way in which to bring children from a life of poverty to a life of true opportunity.

Children who come to MCF experience a loving environment. They are consistently in the top of all schools in Kenya. They participate in school, drama, sports and music. Some go on to university and others go on to learn trades like hairdressing, carpentry and farming skills to make them self-sufficient.

MCF is proof that sacrifice leads to a new life. Charles Mulli gave all he had, and in exchange over 1000 children have been rescued from the slum and given a brand new life.

With your help they will be able to continue to save street children in the slums and give them the home every child needs.
