![]() | Bob and Donna KoslowskyMy name is Bob Koslowsky. I am 48 years old & have been married to Donna for 26 years. I was 8 years old when our family moved from a farm near Niverville, Man. to Winnipeg. My father still continued to farm for a number of years (commuting from the city) & so I still had a farming background as I worked on the farm in the summertime. This has had a profound effect on my life & I believe set a solid base for future relationships in my personal & business life. After high school & community college I joined a wholesale building materials distribution company. 29 years later I still work for Canwel Building Materials. I am presently involved in sales & marketing as well as some clerical duties. I accepted Christ into my life at a chapel in MBCI, a Christian high school. Donna & I were baptized at River East MB Church after we were married. We now attend Eastview Community Church & I am involved in the choir & kid's church. |
I enjoy reading, playing sports & spending time with family & friends, especially when it involves time outdoors in our beautiful province. I am very excited about SPOKE 2005 and am honoured to have been asked to be the driver of the motor home for the 2nd leg from Winnipeg to St. Catharines. I know God will bless this incredible undertaking & we look forward to being a small "spoke" in the big wheel. |

Donna KoslowskySome missionaries travel thousands of miles to minister to people in other countries. Some missionaries minister to people in their own cities, workplaces or homes. Some travel across Canada in a RV following an extreme cyclist and his African children passengers on their custom-built tandem bicycle. This particular extreme cyclist has a heart that beats so strongly for these orphan children that it will no doubt carry him across the country with beats to spare. This is Missions meets Extreme Sports meets Africa! What a ride! It never ceases to amaze me how God connects us through the different facets of our lives. God has touched a place in my heart for children without a home. I had the opportunity to visit some orphanages in Panama this year (2004) while visiting my son who works with YWAM there. I felt the call to be involved with these children ever since returning. I heard about Arvid's idea to ride across Canada carrying an African child on his bike in an effort to raise awareness for the orphanages in Kenya. I also heard about Charles Mulli's life of caring for the homeless children in Kenya. I saw what a difference this made in their lives I knew God was calling me to help in whatever way possible with this. My husband loves to drive, so we are taking the second leg of this trip from Winnipeg to St. Catharines, Ont. We have no idea what we are getting into, but look forward to the challenge and simply being involved in such an important effort. |
